China Visa Application
(Mandatory for Non-Chinese)
If you are planning to attend the Montessori MUN event in China, you MUST obtain a Chinese entry visa if you are not a Chinese resident.
PassportanVisas.com is the recommended visa service for Montessori Model United Nations. MMUN has negotiated this service so all MMUN conference attendees earn a 10% discount on the service fees (applied at checkout).
As you prepare for your trip, please note that PassportandVisas.com can also provide expedited passport services. If you need to renew your passport, obtain a new passport, or replace a lost or damaged passport, please visit the website linked below.
MMUN VISA Letter
MMUN will also issue a VISA Letter to be submitted with your application for a VISA (online or in-person). MMUN will need passport information in order to issue the VISA Letter. Please view the VISA Policy for more detailed information.

FAQ Section
Q: Does MMUN provide a visa letter of invitation for my school group?
Yes. To request a visa Letter of Invitation from MMUN, please send an email to info@nullmontessori-mun.org. You will then be sent the ‘VISA Request Form’ and ‘Passport Information spreadsheet which will need to be filled in and sent back.
In order to qualify for a Letter of Invitation, you must meet both of the following criteria:
• Be registered as a delegate, parent, chaperone or visitor;
• Have paid the conference registration fee in full.
MMUN will not, under any circumstances, provide the Visa Letter of Invitation for visa application paperwork to any individual who does not meet the two criteria listed above. Please ensure you allow sufficient time for your application to be processed.
Q: Do students need visas for traveling to China?
Please check with your country’s State Department or the consulate of the host country to see the regulations about visas. They will provide information about how to obtain a visa if it is required. To enter China, however, non-Chinese attendees will be required to apply for a tourist visa. For more information and assistance with visa applications, please contact info@nullmontessori-mun.org.
