This Montessori Model UN Conference is a four-day event in NYC where students formulate, present, debate, and revise positions on current issues that are affecting people of the world.
Students assume the perspectives of a UN Ambassador for their simulation country, bearing the rights and responsibilities of world leaders. Their imaginations propel them to collaboratively create resolutions to our world’s most pressing problems. MMUN encourages students to know that they can make a difference.
Students represent simulation countries in different UN Committees, (based upon the actual UN Agenda Topics for the year) and have to cooperate in the definition and drafting of resolutions to global problems. Students learn about multi-lateral diplomacy, negotiation skills based upon cooperation (not competition) for complex international policies.

If you have already registered for one of the upcoming MMUN Teacher Workshops, you must contact info@nullmontessori-mun.org to request that spots are reserved for your delegation and provide the number of students in your group. Upon receipt of your email request, we will reserve spots for your students until the date immediately after completion of your training.
If you are a returning teacher to an MMUN conference, please watch the MMUN4UN Webinar prior to registering your school, which contains the new procedures and policies based upon the new alignment with UN procedures and terminology (as opposed to parliamentary procedures).
