New York City Conference Schedule

We are looking forward to seeing you in New York City at the next MMUN Conference. To make the most of the MMUN experience, the following schedule will provide some useful information to aid in your pre-conference planning.

Additional information will be updated regularly. Please check back often.

• Conference Day 01: March 8th

Location: New York Marriott Marquis Hotel at 1535 Broadway, New York City, NY 10036

11:00am – 04:00pm – On-site registration for all conference attendees (presence of the MMUN Coordinator of each school is required)

4:00pm – Hotel check-in begins (presence of the MMUN Coordinator of each school is required)

4:00pm – 4:30pm – Flag bearers (two students per delegation) are expected in the Foyer of the Broadway Ballroom

4:30pm – 5:30pm – Flag Procession and Opening Ceremony

• Conference Day 02: March 9th

Location: New York Marriott Marquis Hotel at 1535 Broadway, New York City, NY 10036

8:00am – 9:15am – Country Display Setup

9:15am – 9:29am – Delegates proceed to Committee Rooms

9:30am – 12:00pm – Committee Sessions

10:30am – 11:30am – Teacher/Parent Workshop Session I

12:00pm – 2:00pm – Lunch Break

2:00pm – 5:00pm – Committee Sessions

2:30pm – 4:30pm – Teacher/Parent Workshop Sessions II and III

7:30pm – 9:00pm – Cultural Exchange Event

• Conference Day 03: March 10th

Location: New York Marriott Marquis Hotel at 1535 Broadway, New York City, NY 10036

9:00am – 12:00pm – Committee Sessions

10:30am – 11:30am – Teacher/Parent Workshop Session IV

12:00pm – 2:00pm – Lunch Break

2:00pm – 5:00pm – Committee Sessions

2:30pm – 4:30pm – Teacher/Parent Workshop Sessions V and VI

4:30pm – 6:30pm – Distribution of UN entrance passes for Voting Assembly at Conference Information Stations (presence of the MMUN Coordinator of each school is required)

7:30pm – 9:00pm – Social Night Event

• Conference Day 04: March 11th

Location: United Nations Headquarters at 47th street and 1st Avenue in New York City, NY 10017.

Upper Elementary Session

8:30am – Group Check-in & Immediate Boarding begin for Upper Elementary delegates and non-delegates

9:00am – 10:00am – Buses run from the New York Marquis Hotel to the United Nations Headquarters

10:30am – Begin of Voting Assembly at the UN Headquarters for Upper Elementary delegates

12:00pm – End of Voting Assembly and Immediate Departure to New York Marquis Hotel

Middle School Session

10:30am – Group Check-in & Immediate Boarding begin for Middle School delegates and non-delegates

11:00am – 12:00pm – Buses run from the New York Marquis Hotel to the United Nations Headquarters

12:30pm – Begin of Voting Assembly at the UN Headquarters for Middle School delegates

2:00pm – End of Voting Assembly and Immediate Departure to New York Marquis Hotel

Important Notes:

• Hotel check-out is 12pm. Schools departing on Saturday after the Voting Assembly must check out prior to leaving for the UN.  Bear in mind that you can’t enter the UN facilities with your luggage. You will need to store it at the hotel and then return there to collect it before going to the airport. Luggage storage for MMUN schools will be on the 4th floor in the Brecht room.
•  Saturday’s schedule (March 11th) might be altered. The UN is a working organization and if a crisis occurs and Ambassadors are called to meet in the General Assembly, our Voting Assembly will then be held on Friday evening at the New York Marquis Hotel and not Saturday morning at the UN headquarters.
