NYC Conference February Matrices
For Upper Elementary and Middle School Students
A Conference Matrix is a tentative list of countries and the committees delegates represented at a MMUN Conference. It indicates the maximum number of delegates per committee and delegation. MMUN coordinators must reference the Conference Matrix prior to selecting a country or countries for their delegation on the MMUN registration dashboard.
[!] IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The minimum number of delegates per committee is 1(one) less than the maximum number of delegates allowed per committee and delegation. Be sure to select a country or countries based on your most accurate number of student delegates
- Each committee will address two topics at the conference, and therefore, each delegation must be prepared to research and write 1 position paper per topic – 2 position papers per delegation (country) and committee.
- If you have registered Upper Elementary students, please note that the DISEC and ECOFIN, and SOCHUM committee will have 2 sections. The sections (1 and 2) indicate that delegates will be placed in separate rooms. DISEC 1 and 2 will have different Topics but both ECOFIN and SOCHUM sections will have the same topics
- If you have registered Middle School students, please note that the DISEC and ECOFIN committee will have 2 sections. The sections (1 and 2) indicate that delegates will be placed in separate rooms. DISEC 1 and 2 will have different topics but both ECOFIN sections will have the same topics.
- Â This does not represent change on the committee procedures or delegate preparation.
