MMUN Rome Conference Schedule

We are looking forward to seeing you in Rome at the MMUN Conference.

To make the most of the MMUN experience, the following schedule will provide some useful information to aid in your pre-conference planning. Please check back often. Additional information will be updated regularly.

  • Conference Day 01, Tuesday April 25th

Location: Marriott Park and Sheraton Parco Hotels

2:00pm – 5:00pm – On-site registration for all conference attendees at the Marriott Park and Sheraton Parco Hotels (presence of the MMUN Coordinator of each school is required)

3:pm – Hotel check-in begins (presence of the MMUN Coordinator of each school is required)

5:30pm – Shuttle buses transport attendees from the Sheraton Parco Hotel to the Marriott Park Hotel

6:00pm – 7:30pm – Welcome Dinner at the Marriott Park Hotel

7:45pm –  Shuttle buses transport attendees back to the Sheraton Parco Hotel

  • Conference Day 02, Wednesday April 26th

Location: Marriott Park Hotel at via Colonnello Tommaso Masala 54, Rome 00148, Italy.

8:00am – Shuttle buses transport attendees from the Sheraton Parco Hotel to the Marriott Park Hotel

8:30am – 9:00am – Country Display Setup

9:00am – Flag bearers are expected in the Foyer of the Tiziano Ballroom

9:30am – 10:30am – Flag Procession and Opening Ceremony

10:30am – 10:45am – Participants leave Opening Ceremony Ballroom and proceed to Committee Rooms

10:45am – 12:00pm – Committee Sessions

10:30am – 11:30am – Teacher/Parent Workshop Session I

12:00pm – 1:30pm – Lunch

1:30pm – 5:00pm – Committee Sessions

2:30pm – 3:30pm –  Teacher/Parent Workshop Session II

5:15pm –  Shuttle buses transport attendees to the Sheraton Parco Hotel

6:15pm – Shuttle buses transport attendees from the Sheraton Parco Hotel to the Marriott Park Hotel

6:45pm – 7:45pm – Dinner

7:30pm – Cultural Event performers are expected inside the Tiziano Ballroom

7:45pm – 8:45pm – Cultural Exchange Event

9:15pm –  Final shuttle to the Sheraton Parco Hotel

  • Conference Day 03, Thursday April 27th

Location: Marriott Park Hotel at via Colonnello Tommaso Masala 54, Rome 00148, Italy.

8:30am – Shuttle buses transport attendees from the Sheraton Parco Hotel to the Marriott Park Hotel

9:00am – 12:00pm – Committee Sessions

10:30am – 11:30am – Teacher/Parent Workshop Session III

12:00pm – 1:30pm – Lunch

1:30pm – 5:00pm – Committee Sessions

2:30pm – 3:30pm –  Teacher/Parent Workshop Session IV

5:15pm –  Shuttle buses transport attendees to the Sheraton Parco Hotel

6:15pm – Shuttle buses transport attendees from the Sheraton Parco Hotel to the Marriott Park Hotel

6:45pm – 7:45pm – Dinner

7:45pm – 8:45pm – Social Night

9:00pm –  Final shuttle to the Sheraton Parco Hotel

  • Conference Day 04, Friday April 28th

Location: World Food Programme at via Cesare Giulio Viola, 68, Roma, Italy.

Upper Elementary Session

8:30am – Group Check-in & Immediate Boarding begin for Upper Elementary delegates and non-delegates

9:30am – Begin of Voting Assembly at the WFP Headquarters for Upper Elementary delegates

10:30am – End of Voting Assembly and immediate departure to hotels

Middle School Session

10:00am – Group Check-in & Immediate Boarding begin for Middle School delegates and non-delegates

11:00am – Begin of Voting Assembly at the WFP Headquarters for Middle School delegates

12:00pm – End of Voting Assembly and immediate departure to hotels

Important Notes:

  • Hotel check-out is 12pm. Schools departing on Friday after the Voting Assembly must check out prior to leaving for the WFP headquarters.  Bear in mind that you can’t enter the WFP facilities with your luggage. You will need to store it at the hotel and then return there to collect it before going to the airport.
  •  Friday’s schedule (April 28th) might be altered. The WFP is a working organization and if a crisis occurs and Ambassadors are called to meet in the Great Hall, our Voting Assembly will then be held on Thursday evening at the Marriott Park Hotel and not Friday morning at the WFP headquarters.
