As a social media producer volunteer with MMUN, producing visual materials gave a new meaning to me. It is not just about creating beautiful portraits and momentous events. I had the opportunity to look through the lens and capture promising young leaders like Mikaila Ulmer, entrepreneur of ‘Mikaila’s Bees’ who is busy saving the planet’s food chain; Dali and Finn Schonfeld of Nalu Clothing helping kids in India attain education; and Meredith O’Connor on anti-bullying. Seeing students from different parts of the globe come together to address their resolutions at the UN General Assembly is astounding. 

I saw history in the making – so can you. The experience is truly rewarding, inspiring and empowering!

As a Montessori Model UN volunteer, I gained more experience by learning about all the different cultures of students from schools all over the world and growing my personal communication skills. Getting the opportunity to work as a MMUN Angel was so rewarding to me being a former Montessori student. I loved the idea of getting to give back to the community that shaped me as an individual. I would absolutely repeat the experience, as each conference is different and so much fun. MMUN provides such a unique experience for its Angels that I would absolutely recommend the volunteer position to others.
